Many people have heard that local agents are best. That depends on how much due diligence a ‘non local’ real estate agent is willing to in an area they are not familiar with.
Each of the areas in Southern California is governed by a Board of Realtors which has been approved ad placed by the California Association of Realtors – Which aligns with each of the states having to answer to the National Association of Realtors. – Therefore, you are covered when Using a MLSbest Realtor and when searching on the MLSbest website for real estate and homes.

Not Los Angeles – I have you covered there too!
During my tenure with the LAPD I was a Defense Rep for a good long while. That assignment took me to all the neighboring cities outside of Los Angeles and other Jurisdictions – not just once but many times. I even drove to do investigations in other Counties surrounding Los Angeles County – Therefore I’m well versed in most Southern California Cities and serve our clients real estate needs therein. While most agents are only focused on a small area or neighborhood due to lack of knowledge, I embrace knowledge and learn everything I can about all areas within southern California. It makes me a better Realtor. It’s like being a cop – Is someone is limited to the “LAPD” way of doing things and won’t open their eyes to see how it’s done elsewhere, that person is not doing their clientele (the citizens of Los Angeles, in this case) Justice and best Service. (Simi Valley, West Hollywood, Moorpark, Ventura County, Oxnard, Ventura, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Calabasas, Malibu, Orange County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, San Diego County, etc… Yes – I did a lot of Driving and that was Thomas Guide Dependent – remember those?)
I’m Connor MacIvor – I’m a REMAX Realtor. But before I was that, I was LAPD for a long while. I quit after 17 years of full time service, but remained a reserve officer for another 5 years. I stated real estate in 1998 and my Partner Paris started in 1999 (she was the full time end of our business and I was full time too – but still working 40 hours a week plus overtime at the LAPD).
Most people consider it strange to have resigned when I was only three years from being vested for a pension. Apparently I have a bit of the entrepreneurial drive in me. I stayed a Full Level III Reserve Police Officer for the Los Angeles Police Department to show I still loved protecting and serving the public. But I took a “more full time” approach to the business I had helped Paris build in the background. Looking back – I made the right decision.
